On the afternoon of May 19th, in the form of a Tencent conference, the Academic Affairs Office organized and held the Tourism College's 2022 New Era "Red Flag Canal" Course Ideological and Political Theories Teaching Design Competition. Experts from the supervision team of the college were invited as judges, and college leaders, department heads and some teachers observed the competition.

Six groups of teachers from six majors, including Tourism Management, Hotel Management, Exhibition Economics and Management, Culinary and Nutrition Education, English and Japanese, participated in the competition. This competition is conducted in accordance with the college's competition system, in the form of "major leader talks about ideological and political theories teaching in majors (6 minutes) + course leader talks about ideological and political theories teaching in courses (5 minutes) + knowledge point teaching demonstration (9 minutes)". The competition fully showed that the college took the construction of "overall ideological and political theories teaching" as the starting point, continued to deepen the integration of the ideological and political theories teaching in courses, majors and disciplines, yielding effective results of the fundamental task of building morality and cultivating people.

After the competition, the experts commented on the event and put forward valuable suggestions. They believed that this competition added an ideological and political theories teaching design demonstration segment, which promoted the further deepening of the ideological and political theories teaching in courses; the design should fully reflect the characteristics of the major, and the relationship between the ideological and political theories teaching in courses and majors should be thoroughly clarified; the teaching methods should be more diversified and informatized.

In her final speech, Wang Jing, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, expressed her gratitude to the expert judges for their dedicated guidance, fully affirmed the efforts of the participating teachers, and proposed how the teachers should further develop the ideological and political theories teaching in courses in the future, hoping that teachers will further enhance study and academic discussion, deepen teaching reform and innovation, continue to promote the ideological and political theories teaching in courses, and implement the fundamental task of building morality and cultivating people.
